Fine, let's forget the comparing skepticism angle. I'll even admit I might have been condescending by going 'fishing' for that.

But you can appreciate how condescending your very first comment on this post was. Without having a fucking shred of knowledge about me, and totally discounting all of the caveats I introduced in the post (for example, that I considered it pretty unlikely that the video was faked), you came in here and insulted my dignity. Rather, you said I had none.

How skeptical was it for you to make those cunty assumptions without any evidence?

I'd call you delusional. But I think that, deep down, you already know you are.

It's just that you've long since lost that last shred of dignity, which might have made you feel ashamed about it.

Doesn't sound like you're too skeptical about your own half-cocked assumption making.

That's a fair criticism. I assumed you were a Qtard, salty about being banned from the sub, but still clinging to The Plan™ and desperately looking for ways to keep believing. Maybe my assumption is wrong.

But, as I pointed out to BloodyComet, if this was a fake, that would mean Trump is either on board with it or somehow incapacitated to prevent him from objecting. Neither of which is a very plausible scenario. Possible, but absurdly unlikely.

Which makes me wonder about what could motivate a sensible person to even raise the question, without substantially more to go on than some pixelated shadows and mouth movements and jowls in a compressed video.

Trump being 'on board' with all of this is one of my more substantial reasons for not believing it's fake. After all, if all of this has just been political theater thus far, then they'd not have to fake Trump saying anything...he'd just say it.

If it is faked, I'd have to think Twitter was responsible, posted it, and nobody on the Trump team has access to it (or other social media accounts) to be able to say so. But the obvious response to this is that anyone adjacent to him could use their accounts to spread the word that Twitter was faking the video.

So, the chances are practically zero.

Which means that I made a thread most likely for the reason that I was in an emotionally heightened state due to the feeling I had while watching the video that something felt off. That excited me and caused me to entertain my immediate impulse to circle jerk about possibilities before my rational faculties were able to convince me not to.
