As in file no withholding and come tax time do nothing. Would that be enough disruption to the government? Seems the easiest way to fuck em back.

But of course if it doesn't take off with everybody it's gonna be a pretty big backfire. Though I did just read Wesley Snipes did it for years before they got him, and that was for tens of millions.

Also only a tiny percentage of the IRS's income is from individuals who make less than $100k/yr. So little that it's not at all necessary to tax those people.

This is something I forgot about when I made the post. Much more tax revenue from the rich and from business small and large (i.e those that will not go along with a tax rebellion).

Edit: Actually this doesn't pan out. Top %ers pay more, but their numbers are so much less so revenue is less. Look at the Income taxes paid and Share of taxes paid rows:

You're missing the fact that ~$90k/yr puts you in the top 25% and they pay 86% of personal taxes, which then account for only 50% of federal revenue. Everyone under 90k paying no tax would mean the gov would have to cut the budget by about 7%.

This ignores the social security ponzi scheme of course.
