Excess mortality, but they don't talk about the increased suicide, alcoholism, untreated illnesses, etc. from shutting things down
All the numbers I saw were well within the year to year deviation. Meaning no excess deaths. Basically many death causes simply moved to the covid column.
It was a miracle year for heat disease, cancer, influenza, and lower respiratory fatalities reduced. Praise be to the CDC.
Also boomers are big demographic plume there would be naturaly more as that older group hits the dying age
I don't know anyone that died from Covid, or even got sick enough to need medical treatment. I know of at least two who died from suicide/drug overdose during lockdowns. Young men with futures ahead of them. They took that from us. Don't ever forget it.
