I agree.
I'm female and clothes are really expensive. Im in my mid-20's and still have mostly hand-me-downs from middle/high school.
My friends who dress really well tend to have nice cars, nice clothes, nice PCs and nik-knacks. Instead I bought a house, made a 5k emergency fund, and put 10k+ invested in the stock market thats growing each month.
I do want to slowly start buying nicer clothes, but it's hard to change an entire wardrobe when I want to continue my monthly investments elsewhere. I don't think it makes me a slob, just not a rich person.
as long as one is clean and modest with the clothes fitting properly, fuck what anyone else thinks. i would rather have a friend that dressed comfortably who was down to earth than be miserable around people who judged others by the price tag on garments.
please don't change your common sense ways because others say dressing to the nines is a reflection of one's soul.
i am proud of your smart thinking. and care less about smart dressing.
