I was raised mormon, it's absolutely a masonic cult. I really wish I could find a tribe of nice people that wanted to live the way mormons live to be friends with though - I'm over my "anger at everything I was ever taught being a lie" phase, but most of the exmos I meet seem to be stuck in it. :(
It’s a shame there’s a dark and evil crown to the otherwise worthy attributes such as strong family and sense of community. Hope you find that sense of kinship again in your life friend.
I’m with you. I’m a huge fan of the book as guidance but don’t believe in it literally. Middle ground is tough because before you know it you’re accepting worse and worse forms of degeneracy. That’s why the most successful religions draw lines and are ruthless about it.
