Public schools are very lousy at teaching math and language skills due in part to the trash curriculum.

100%. I spent a few years in Hong Kong growing up when my dad was working on the MTR railway. It was only for a few years of elementary school. When I came back I didn't even have to try in school till around grade 10. That's how shit the western education system is.
