People acting like that and cops enforcing that shit are at least in part the result of generations of people complying, even if they don't agree, and failing to speak the whole truth for the sake of convenience. It ends up putting future generations in a really shitty spot. I have chosen to live where most of my values are protected and shared so it's easier for me to say no to the bullshit, which I'm grateful for. And trying to keep it that way for my kids is part of why I won't play along.
