They have been suffering ever since the 2008 financial crisis.

They have stuffed the dealerships full of inventory that they didn't want or need. Now they have massive lots full of vehicles they say don't have chips.

But that would normally result in the dealerships having depleted inventory. Are we able to see this shortage or are the dealers lots still packed full of cars and trucks?

What are you guys seeing at your local dealerships? Full or empty?!

It seems like the price of used cars is extremely high right now. Like people are buying used rather than new.

This looks like a coverup of the collapse of their sales imho. What say you guys?

100% but it's mostly to cover for inflation! they cant have 4.2% y.o.y inflation w/o some good headlines to unscare the cattle.

think about it, if we had 4.2% inflation w/o some good headies, how would the masses handle it?

Same w/ lumber

the shortages are to cover for inflation

there are no real shortages. The chips were forced to be behind schedule due to unnecessary lockdown laws. The lumber is already cut waiting in stacks to be used.

Yes. I think we are just seeing the pre shocks of hyperinflation!

This somehow smells of a false narrative. And the timing is suspicious. With all the shit going on why now do we have a chip shortage? We have been flooded with chips for forty years now. Why can't we make enough right at this point in time?!

labor shortage causing hiccups in supply chain. The shortage is real, but it was forced intentionally

All the labor is in asia, tons of bugs to work over there.
