Yes there are less customers. It's because they shop online and get quoted 5k over sticker and never show up. It's not regional, it's global. If there is any dealer in the entire US that can't find a buyer for their vehicles, they could sell them for MSRP to a dealer that will mark them up 5k OVER MSRP and make bank.
There is simply no supply and even scarier is no allocation. We only have 75 vehicles allocated to us for the next 2 months. We have 95 in stock. We sell 1000 vehicles in 2 months. So we are 830 vehicles short. That's why we have to charge more or we will all starve.
This is interesting. My local dealer is desperate to offload and my friend runs a dealership and he's not mentioned anything. Not in the US, so it'll be interesting if things change.
