I have a few speculations other than just saying it's all fake. I think it's lazy not to consider all possibilities and just say "fake" for literally everything. One possibility is that the virus circulating around Wuhan was a much more lethal strain, and by the time it hit elsewhere the more benign variants were circulating (because highly deadly viruses usually don't spread as far). Another speculation I have is that an actual lethal strain with a long incubation time will "emerge" (AKA be released). It would rip through conservative populations, and the obedient GMO slaves are already fully vaccinated, tons of people would instantly flip socialist, the Republicans would never win another election again. If they really want to sell the world on the New World Order idea this would probably be the easiest way to do it.
