My understanding was that they had isolated both specifically by identifying the spike protein.
They've never isolated the actual virus.
I have heard claims both ways and I have seen the spike protein isolation paper which mentions the isolation of the spike protein from the virus first happening in april last year.
That sounds like they isolated the virus to me.
I’ve seen plenty of documentary-type videos demonstrating that the definition of “isolate” they’ve been relying on, is not a real isolation of an actual virus, but rather a culture formed by mixing various different things and letting it incubate. Someone in Germany (I think) replicated the experiment without any kind of COVID material, and got identical results. The claims of “isolation” in the mainstream are apparently relying on this sort of tomfoolery.
