I confuse effect and affect. I feel like I wanna use them one way but then I think it’s the other way. Maybe I do know how to use them idk
Affect is a verb and effect is a noun.
The film had an effect on my mood VS the film affected my mood.
Are you the doe from Voat that used to give pointers on remembering correct spelling?
No, just do some part time SAT tutoring and affect v effect is commonly confused.
Effect is also a verb. Affect is also a noun. Now what? We’ll never figure it out.
There are a few exceptions to the rule but the majority of the time, affect v effect is a verb/noun difference.
