Seems fentanyl is too strong for the average guy to utilize?
The risk with fentanyl is the lack of standardized doses. Heroin junkies get a feel for it after surviving a few hot shots. There's no coming back from a dose of fentanyl that is more potent than one of the exact size that you just did. Every dose could be your last one.

Why don't the junkies have a system to test the drugs they take? They are obviously dealing with an untrustworthy market. Are they just too stupid to figure out how to test their drugs?

Those that I've known only cared about the next high. They all know it's risky but they're addicted and can't or won't stop.
I know one former junkie that says she would test it. I forget how since it was knowledge I didn't really give a shit about.
Then again I had another one say his shit turned into this caulk-like sludge that was so stiff he could barely move the plunger, and him and his girlfriend shot it anyway.
Seems there is a lot of variance.
