I received male infant genital mutilation. I don't consider myself a victim because I don't resent my dad's lack of knowledge. He was certainly fooled with its efficacy, but I don't blame his shortcoming about the knowledge of the world. I do feel it is a procedure that should only be done when there is a clear defect that needs to be addressed immediately. Nobody pulls their fingernails off when they're babies because things might get stuck under the nails. You clean it, you maintain it, and if it ever gets infected, you consider removing them, just like any other medical surgery.
