Boy do I hear you on that score. Similar boat here my friend. May I call you my friend? At least in misery? Like you started at 14, broke my ass all my life for what I have. I live ok to good. Even in a shit hole like NY on Long Island where everything is a million fucking dollars I do ok. I never went the 401k route. Always thought it was scam that would eventually screw people. With gubmint looking to just grab them from people OR crashing the economy to make em worthless looks like I was right on that score. I was hoping to get out of here for retirement and get to South Dakota which is one of the few decent states left But I have a wife who dragged her feet too long and now even though we've been actively looking at stuff, even flew out last weekend to do it, it looks like too little too late. I probably wont make it under the wire. Well I can live with ALL that I really can. But what bothers me is NOT if this shit will kill me but that I'll end up fucking crippled and THAT will ruin everything I've built and worked for. I rescue animals, cats mostly. But rescuing animals gives me purpose and is a huge part of life. Im also a musician which is the only OTHER thing that provides joy in this shitty world. If I end up physically fucked from this crap thats ALL over. I'd RATHER be dead. Wanna bet I don't lucky that way? So they are going to get their way no matter what it seems. Trump was the last chance and HE turned out to be as big a piece of shit as the rest. We the People dropped the ball many years ago and never picked it back up again. I wish you and the rest of us well but I just don't see it happening.
