they have been setting up (using tax dollars) reliance on the official government, but neighborhoods could hire private security, advocate for clear castle doctrine (to avoid ken and karen issues), start canneries to avoid big box stores taking funds out of the area, etc.
The first fight would be the schools. in some areas it is over $20k/student/year. that means that 50 students would be $1M. That is enough to hire 5 teachers, buy a building (or rent space in a church), pay for food, etc. It also allows for creativity like having the shop teacher mow the grass, teachers taking out their own trash and cleaning the rooms because it wouldn't be confined to district and union rules.

They mean not just to shut us out, but also to use force to shut down anything we build outside their new occupation/dictatorship.
The whole "take over school boards" is either an irrelevant hamster wheel narrative to keep us distracted, or something given to us to keep us busy wasting our time with half measures that can be undone with a snap of the fingers from the state. Mostly its to keep us complicit with minor victories.
I didn't mean take over boards, i meant have govenors force districts to offer vouchers, even if that means cutting public school funding.
