> I agree with you completely, except for the last sentence. Japan does have a few modern carriers with F-35s and helos on them and South Korea is building out their own fleet as well. Not yet. They have two helo carriers which are currently being retrofitted to service fixed wing aircraft. It will take a while before they are fully operational.
