Mine was in the hospital in the middle of labor AFTER a negative covid test. I gave them back the mask and said, “no I’m good” and proceeded to give birth whilst breathing oxygen like I was meant to.

I do want to have one more baby in the future and I’ll try my best to make that home birth possible. They pump you up with so much shit in the hospital.

You can say no. And if for some reason a hospital birth ends being your only option, you can hire a doula to stay with you and help run interference with the nurses/doc if they turn out to be shitheads.

You must have someone around continuously to avoid any funny business. Write and sign something that gives this person the power to refuse things they try to inject you with.

I stayed up for an insane number of hours in a row in the hospital with our firstborn doing just that. My wife was shot after 72hr of labor and my parents were on their way but stuck in a snowstorm. Our doula was a lifesaver. Now when my wife goes into labor I do my best to nap so I can be alert when her job is done.

The cunt nurses kept trying to IV my wife for no reason and would shut the fuck up about vaccines. We've used a midwife since.

Well, don't worry about it if you can't, no biggie.
