I’m getting made fun of for saying this. It’s ‘normal’ for men to watch it, but if I went off and looked at random dicks I’m pretty sure my husband would be jealous. I would feel like I was cheating too. I faked being fine with it, admitted I wasn’t finally. Yet I’m a joke for suggesting porn is wrong, and it’s ok to tell all our friends and family I got upset about it. They laughed, they don’t get it. I figured someone on here would understand what I’m getting at even though many disagree. I wasn’t gonna bother asking this but the whole world IRL knows anyway. So what’s your opinion, is it wrong to watch porn? Why or why not?

Porn can be bad without being cheating.

How is it comparable to actual cheating?

Great question. I can see both sides of that argument.

Sure, a man looking at a digital video or photo and using that as “motivation or inspiration” to live out a fantasy is not the same as that same man going out and being physical with a real 3D woman. So in that regard, no it’s not cheating. Not even close.

However, it could be considered infidelity on some level to choose a different woman to engage in sexual activity with other than your committed partner.

So no I wouldn’t say it’s comparable to actual cheating and it shouldn’t be treated as such. But it’s not ideal and should be avoided at all costs.

You are training your mind to be intimate with someone who is not your spouse. The subconcious probably doesn't know the difference between sex with your spouse and masturbation to a video. This is my opinion. I'm no scientist.
