They are making a show of force on TV, but they are no different than here. They don't have the troops to lock everyone down and need voluntary compliance for the vast majority of it.

They will probably get it too.

I can give you a Canadian example for comparison, a city of 200,000 people with about 2400 cops. Cops work in shifts, so only about 800 working at one time. Of that, only about 400 can be on the streets, in cars, two per car, so about 200 cars total, and that is being generous, to patrol the entire city of 200,000. One cop car per 1000 citizens. If 10% are locked down, the one car has to enforce on 100 citizens. It can't be done.

So you make a lot of noise on TV.

If they lose the TV, they lose control.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

The seat of their power lies in the perception that they even have it in the first place.

I like your thoughts man.

They need to start losing equipment like cruisers and cameras. This will put a damper on thier terrorism.

Out of the 100 you have 50 women. Out of 50 men 60% are too young or too old leaving 20. One cop to 20 men is still terrible odds, much less 200.

Austrian here. We currently have lockdowns for the unvaxed, while the vaxxed can pretty much do whatever they want. The police, as always, are enforcing the government rule by randomly asking people in malls, restaurants, stores to show their papers. There was an incident here in Vienna where the police coupled with WEGA(special police force) went into a restaurant with automatic weapons, there is footage online.

The government is not pleased with the population which they see as plebs, not taking the vaccine. Our new chancellor, who was put into power (because the last one resigned due to corruption investigation) and was not elected, is 'deeply ashamed of thr vaccine quotas' and wants to 'pull the reighns tighter: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.heute.at/s/kanzler-will-zuegel-der-ungeimpften-straffer-ziehen-100172115

The government announced that they will have lockdowns for all people in the next future. They are also legally testing the grounds for a hard vaccine mandate. The news media is very much propaganda as it is everywhere.

Sad to hear that, I always thought Austria was a beautiful country with really intelligent people. Vienna was beautiful (too expensive) and the beer was good. Although my experience there was more than 15 years ago now...

I would kill for another trip to 1980s Austria. I'd drink all the Steigl. Far out that place is beautiful.

Not really, places like some suburbs and inner city Melbourne\Sydney are getting much more of a heavy handed approach, most of our cops and the public don't seem to give much of a shit either way outside of the major cities.

18 Footers. Sydney.” THE NEW NORMAL Now we are back operating again with minor restrictions, it is beginning to feels like old times. The club is busy, the sailing is as spectacular as always.

You will see a few new faces working behind the bar which is great and to those new staff, welcome. In the coming weeks, we will be introducing new (and old) staff via this newsletter so you get to know the person behind the smile. And we are still on the lookout for new staff, so if you are looking to work at the 18 Footers, please check out the Seek ad at https://www.seek.com.au/job/54715836.

Unfortunately, we have had a few members coming to the club unvaccinated and trying to get in. Instances of providing fake vaccination certificates, somebody else's membership card, or declaring that it is ok because being unvaccinated is not a problem to allow entry is quite selfish and disrespectful for everybody else, staff and members alike. We are following what is the law and trying to provide the safest environment we can for all members. We will continue to do as the legislation is asking us to do and have been providing information via email, the website and at the entry about what the rules are for entry. We ask all members to consider these before coming to clubhouse.”

This even seems like a private sailing club.

They do mention they are following the law but also mention the false safety justification so can't tell if they are feeling forced or actually believe the anti pureblood discrimination.

It is a private sailing club. What law? And what safety justification? It’s a scam. Where have you been? Vax passport enforcement by a sailing club, ridiculous. These are judgmental propaganda buying, nanny state compliars. Doesn’t matter why they are doing what they are doing, they are still complicit in the fascist scheme to undermine our civilized society (time to make a new one?). They exhibit despicable behavior and, I wouldn’t want to belong to a club with people like that. They will pay the price, they just don’t realize how high it will be, ultimately. Are you an Aussie? That would explain your attitude; soft and compliant.

Is this in the USA? What state?

I didn't say I agreed with it.

It depends on the business or what you're doing, and ultimately the person who's on the front door of places (if they are enforcing it). None of the unjabbed people I know, or myself, have been refused entry to places.
