Dude tell me about it. Not just regular mice/rats around here but Pack Rats. Those fuckers don't just chew mostly red wiring, but they build the stupid nests like anywhere. The red wiring either tastes different and they like it, or they like the mild shock while chewing from chewing the power line. I've seen cars at my friends auto shop where they chewed tons of red wires while ignoring white & black.

They did a number on my insulation last year. Brand new truck had it a few months and already poisoned dead mice made the interior smell like death until they decomposed. Still beating living in the city though.
