Yeah the entire no down voting is very nonsense - i mean if ytube thinks not being able to downvote site wide is a great idea and improvement then i'm automatically opposed, it's like being told you can't boo at a sports match or throw someones business card in the trash cause it might hurt their feelings.
I'm not a fan of the 'no downvote' crap either, even though I'd likely get nuked continuously if it was allowed....not that I would give a shit. I consider sites like this partly an opinion poll, and partly an advice column like 'Dear Abby'; not a popularity contest. The downvotes never meant anything at Reddit (nor did 'gold'). Anyone that needs ego strokes to participate here, probably don't need to be here.
Yeah i kinda agree, downvoting is just a simple quick way to 'disagree' with whatever the comment or post is about - nothing more nothing less. Don't understand the big deal, except now you 'shouldn't abuse downvotes - engage and constructively tell them why nonsense' ... It comes across like lets not hurt their feelings . I mean ytube has taken away downvotes/ the insticar platform (sites that use it like gateway pundit etc) has taken away the downvote button. Of course it must be a good thing ....
