Concur, but Fck you have my upvote / ..... Edit -Tbh, i was hoping that a long standing user would reply to my concerns with some honest feedback - hence why i directed it to Professor -but meh guess it's not important enough.
Just like when AOU began requesting donations for running costs, the idea for having a real time banner on the front page for monthly operating costs and amount needed to donate with the running surplus - if any, so users have an exact idea when and if money is required. Nothing, zilch, nada, no-one bothered to think it was important enough to even comment on it in the actual thread. Ultimately just #takemymoney.
Look at how users like professor post. They copy/pasta dozens of articles from other sites to get their post counts up. Theres no actual substance. Just an astroturf to keep people here, and make the site look "alive". The more i look at it, the more it comes off like these users might be on someones payroll. Think about it, if you were a fed, and got tasked with making this site look alive/energized, whats the easiest way? Copy/paste random articles one after the other, then have a friend monitor your downvotes, and fade those users out.
Yeah you right, and Not disagreeing but many do it without being on a payroll (npc-tier users that think they're bringing the noise and are informed). Look at the fcking front page from time to time the same few users copy pasting literally dozens of msm articles and nonsense links- absolute garbage. When you call them out on it, it's all ' just showing how corrupt everything is - their narrative is falling apart' spergy bs. As for those that keep copy pasting the entire fcking article in their title post as well is just ..... sad. Many such cases.
I think it was actually professor that got my score reset this past week. I logged in and the whole front page was just spammed with copy/pasta. Of course downvoting trash is a big no no. When it comes to this site, they just want it to look like shits going on, when its just a few shills.
