Something is going wrong there.

2010 census: 96% total White (as low as 94%, since hispanics aren't broken out)

2020 census: 88% non-hispanic White.

The big change is in the growth of "other/mixed".

It may be the chicken industry. I know Tyson is big in NW Arkansas. I left about five years ago, and other than the occasional meth head, things were still really nice. Strangers strike up conversations with you in the grocery stores, and after a couple of minutes they'll invite you to church, and may even invite you to dinner.
