First attempt yesterday, after a 24 day hiatus, and a previous haitus of 24 days. First message was the 'dayum, calm down'. Second message, when attempting to post, was that url was too long.

Although very grateful for poal coming back, not feeling the love for this place......

Clearly I don't understand what is going on.

First message was the 'dayum, calm down'.

This can happen if you're using a VPN or Tor also used by other accounts.

Second message, when attempting to post, was that url was too long.

The url you're trying to share is over 256 characters, and might contain tracking data you can remove. So everything in the url after the question mark (included) can be removed before posting.

It also does it not on a VPN or using multiple accounts.

I get it from time to time.

Good to know, thanks. Been feeling like the world is against me lately lol.

The world is against you.

The sooner you realize that and start conquering things. the better off you end up.

Do you use brave browser

[–] 1 pt

Yes but i dont use the vpn.

It slows down the porn vids too much.

I get that at times as well. I just wait a minute and try again.

I just keep spamming "Post comment" because I am a Chad like that. It doesn't take very long.

As long as it doesn't ruin your day, you can just hit Post comment again until it works.

Good to know about the url and question mark. Thanks.

It’s part of the ongoing Jewish conspiracy against you.

I find the "dayum, calm down" message only occurs for me in certain subs. If I resubmit my post a couple of times, it always gets posted. I don't know why I get is in a few subs and none of the others.

[–] 0 pt

It's not specific to any sub, you might be more active in the ones you get the warnings.

First message was the 'dayum, calm down'.

That happens to me too, sometime, even if I haven't posted in a while. What I do is go back to the post I was trying to submit then click the button again.

Second message, when attempting to post, was that url was too long.

The URL too long message is most often caused by submitting a link with a lot of references in it. I try to submit the link without any of that attached. Here's an example. This link is too ong:

https://thefederalist.com/2022/02/14/super-bowl-ads-show-big-corporate-doesnt-care-about-you-or-our-country/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=super-bowl-ads-show-big-corporate-doesnt-care-about-you-or-our-country

This one worked fine: https://thefederalist.com/2022/02/14/super-bowl-ads-show-big-corporate-doesnt-care-about-you-or-our-country/

Thanks, professor. Can always count on you for help :)

I hate to see people get discouraged about posting.

Some sub moderators have the "dayumm" thing on, but not all of them. And on the subs that have it, I just hit enter a second time, and the comment gets posted.

[–] 0 pt

That's totally incorrect. The rate limit to post/comment is global.

[–] 1 pt

Okay. But from personal experience, sometimes "dayum" pops up on my first comment of the day.

Like I mentioned in my reply to OP, it can happen if you use a service (VPN/Tor...) shared by several accounts.
