The Covid mass hysteria is over. The lockdowns are gone. The requirement to wear a mask in stores and other public buildings has been lifted. There are no penalties for not wearing masks. Yet I still see most people in my supermarket wearing masks.

What the fuck is wrong with these people? Why are they wearing masks when they are not longer forced to do so by the government or the private store and business owners? Are they all retarded? Or is it, as my wife believes, simply fear -- that they have been so brainwashed and terrorized to be afraid all the time that they are afraid to do anything on their own, even remove their masks?

I mean, what pathetic fucks they all are. It makes me embarrassed to be on the same planet with them.

I stare at them like they are aliens. There is a woman at my complex who wears a mask to walk her dog. I just stare at her like she is insane while I walk past (usually very far away because I don't use the dog park), so even if she believed I was diseased, it makes no sense, there is no one near her, ever. I think even the other dog people avoid her because of the mask.

Last time I stared, she was on her phone and started yelling loudly into it about how there are rude inconsiderate people who won't wear a mask outside. I just laughed.

IMO most of them now believe masks are good for them and protect them, it gives them a safe feeling. Some are germaphobes and a bit of propaganda promoting masks reinforced them. And some are just happy their fetish is now mainstream enough to be practiced in public.

I was in my car listening to the local radio station last week (yeah I still use the FM radio). A public service announcement from the local County "Public Health" Department was playing, encouraging people to continue to mask up to be safe. -- "Aah that warm snuggly feeling of multiple layers of fabric caressing and protecting your face... I dont judge people in N95 masks too harshly. At least they are paying a premium and wearing something that does offer protection against all types of bullshit in the air. I honestly think those people are just germaphobes. Any time I see someone in a cloth or shitty surgical mask, i feel like theyre actually fucking stupid people virtue signaling. Where I live mask use is down to around 10%-15% of people thankfully even the libtards around here have backed off for the most part.

Same here, the day the mask mandate ended, mask usage dropped from about 95% to 10% in most places, it got even lower since then

I know a guy who's pretty sane but he was frustrated he forgot his mask when going to the grocery store recently. It's almost like a child forgetting their blankie they carry around with them.

It's very disturbing. Was trying to explain to a friend last night who said "just ignore them, let them do whatever they want." But here is my argument against that.

Until Covid, it was ILLEGAL in my state to do what these people are doing. People were obligated to show their faces in public.

As you know, it has been researched and over half of human communication is nonverbal. We are already being shut off from real human interaction by the internet. Now even out in public, the population is being deprived of nonverbal cues, courtesies etc.

As Terrence McKenna says about the dominator, "they use a tremendously alienating instrumentality to achieve their goal of control. You think they're in the business of enlightening you? Saving your soul? Control! Control, control, control, that's what they're in to."

Everyday. Everyday I ask this question. I actually had a work group freak the fuck out on me because I suggested going back to meeting in person. One woman actually said and I am in no way kidding, "I still wear my mask at home during Zoom meetings to make everyone feel more comfortable." She said that. She wears her mask. At home. On Zoom.
