Same goes for just about anything shared in a text format. It saves everyone time and effort while pushing less traffic to undesirable, severely kiked websites.

This suggestion made a qtard very angry so Im making a post about it.

Use an archiving website like this one: https://archive.ph

Just paste the url you want archived into the bar, give it a minute and you will have an archived url to share that can also never be altered.

The only caveat I have is that, if archive.today is ever knocked down, or if the tweet is DMCA'd off their site, you won't be able to track down the original link, which means you won't be able to use other search methods. If you do this also please include the original link for reference.
