Yeah, this also is a good test for the whole believe in free speech thing. I disagree with AOU on a ton of stuff but I can only respect his ability to allow true free speech. I have come to understand that free speech is REALLY important in all sorts of ways, but I have to say that there are a few things that I couldn't stop my self from banning people. Flat earth is one of these subjects. It IS NOT that they believe in flat earth, that is fine and normal. What I really hate about flat earth people is that you cannot have a good faith conversation with them. They can only do one thing: * Ask you to prove everything while they don't have to. If this was my site, maybe I would create a special feature that once you get tagged a flat earther, all of their responses are REQUIRED to steelman (make the best case) for the opposing side or progressively have their accounts restricted until they are permabanned. This would psychologically create a pain point for those that believe this nonsense and quicksand and waste the time of those here working for liberals. It's not the belief that is the problem, it is them deliberately poisoning the conversation. It's exactly the same as liberalism. They just call you a faggot and then escape into not wanting to have a good faith conversation. I mean, obviously, who cares, but they force us to consider the mechanics of what is going on here.
