Generally there is an inverse ratio of tattoos to social status
The same goes for noise. For some reason the lower class the person, the louder they are. Not just their voice, but in everything. They have loud phone conversations in public, slam doors, bang cabinets, clomp/shuffle walk, bring loud music to public parks/beaches, loud cars/motorcycles (that aren't loud because of power, but because exhaust to make them loud on purpose) ... anything to make noise.
I read a paper once that made a convincing case for there being strong inverse correlation between needing to have constant external stimuli and intelligence. Loud people are loud to fill that need even if they have to do it themselves.
I don't have a link. This was years before COVID and my compulsion to archive any and all academic papers I run across.
