These events always serve more than one purpose.

My guess is it's for the following reasons, at least ...

  • Further collapse supply chains (tip: grow your own food)
  • Explanation for an increase in cancer/death ("it's the PVC bomb, not the vax!")
  • Fear and division (hate your neighbor because "it was totally the [insert partisan affiliation here]'s fault!")

Just a thought.

Not much but apparently one or two groups started and they began a bunch of new communities where arable land was cheapest. Simple living has a good appeal to many people.

https://search.brave.com/search?q=amish+growth&source=desktop take your pick of articles, they have seen 110% growth in 22 years, were the fastest growing in 2012 and have been among the fastest growing in the US the whole time, importation of muslims and catholics is eclipsing them now I think but they are keeping pace with mormon growth.
