Rather, it's more like how a lot of married men with angry wives don't understand how their lack of discipline in consistently communicating is oftentimes the causal variable in their problems with their wife and with others. When engaging a situation they've no prior experience with, they can imagine what comes next when dealing with it, but they don't invest the energy to consider what comes then, and, thereafter. It's actually more difficult to manipulate these people to do something they don't want or need to do, no matter what bait you dangle in front of them, because they're not interested in participation prizes, but their concerns being honestly addressed, engaged, and resolved. In short, low IQ people can think ahead several hours, several days, maybe even several weeks, but the farther ahead they have to plan, the more difficult it becomes for them, because the variables which affect the outcome they're working towards increase.
