I just had this thought after reading about micro-plastics. Rubber is not biodegradable and tires must spew a bunch of that onto the streets, into the air, water, etc. The level of rubber micro-plastic in any country must be immeasurably vast considering how many cars are now on the road at any given moment and how fast tires wear out.

Am I missing something or is this really fucking bad? Why have I never heard anyone talk about this?

Lol, as I pulled into my driveway yesterday afternoon and seeing the very noticeable black tire marks on the concrete I thought of the same thing. Not that I hadn’t thought of it before, but since we haven’t had rain in a while the black was laid down pretty thick. And that’s at very low speed without much tire turning. I can’t imagine we don’t breathe a lot of it in and much of it ends up in the water I would think. As with the (((protocols))), death by a thousand cuts.
