Of course they are.
Based thinking is deterministic, if you’re in a situation it’s because of the choices you’ve made. You are fully capable of making the choices that resolve your dilemma.
Leftist/Progressive (let’s just call it Marxist) thinking necessarily believes that if we’re not in utopia (never possible) it’s because the system is flawed.
On the other hand the system is indeed very much flawed, as it is irrefutably controlled by an international clique of jews under which, by design the maladies described above are to thrive, fester and destroy.

I would say that is more characteristic of Progressive thinking whereas Leftist thinking is more about blaming those who are superior, i.e. Those who are more financially successful, well educated, and generally make better life decisions.
Though Progressivism/Leftism are two sides of the same coin.
