I would assume he does not mention it due to having enough family money before things started getting crazy that they could always buy protection to effectively put blinders onto the racial issue. Sorta like how many people who don't live near ghetto's sympathize more with blacks. Its a peasant problem. not a racial issue essentially to them. If however they were forced to be the only white person in a sea of niggers with no one to provide armed protection... Well I'm sure they would start to notice trends after the 5th mugging.
