Eye color is not only not knowable in broad speech about individuals but isn't that meaningful with respect to whether or not I feel they're worth the effort of hitting [shift].

Status quo takes precedence on Poal. It's just what Poalrs do. I would say ignorance is not the most common reason for Poalrs to capitalize or not capitalize proper/improper nouns.
