My vacuum just bit the dust. It was a Miele, I got it because I remembered an AMA from a vacuum repair guy more than 10 years ago who said they were the best. It had terrible suction and the cord isn't long enough to make it all the way across some rooms (have to stop half way and plug into a closer outlet). So, can anyone please recommend a great vacuum, good for pet hair in carpets, can also handle tile, has a long cord, preferably an upright with a canister instead of a bag, and a lot of suction. Thanks.
