Why not get it repaired? It’s a Miele.
It didn't have very good suction. It required going over the same spot 4-6 times to get the dog hair out of the carpet, then you'd have to lift it a couple of inches above in order to suck it up.
Yeah - my point was that a Meile is a quality machine, and should be able to be repaired rather than replaced outright. I could be wrong, I don’t know the details of yours, but was speculating that maybe the motor needs to be swapped or something…something cheaper than getting a whole new one.
That is what I was expecting when we got the Miele. I could have just gotten a lemon, but the results of the one we had were disappointing. We ended up getting a Dyson Ball Animal 3. While I hate the cheap plastic construction of it, damn does it deliver. Re-vacuuming the rooms that were done just hours before the Miele died, it pulled out an entire cannister of hair & dust from each room, and the cord is long enough to reach all areas of all rooms. Maybe Miele has some higher end models that can rival this performance, I might check them out in 10 or so years when this new one craps out.
