A job back we had an online store that had a guest checkout option and they had to insert some "dummy data" like Joe Schlomo as a fake name and 999-999-9999 for account number to make the database play nice so a transaction would go through. Referrers were also a pain to deal with with access issues, especially if was one system transferring the transaction to another system to complete payment.
