One use I actually advocate for electric over gas.
I thought this too until I put my stil br800 backpack blower on and remembered how much better gas is over electric.

I actually don't own one of those. Prefer my electric chainsaw and weed wacker for sure.

I say it because I have two electric blowers I use for the porches and sidewalks. I got so used to them that when I used my backpack blower I had forgot the stark power difference. I'm not so obtuse to disagree with your original premise, they are easier in most aspects.

For sure gas still performs better and if you have a large property could be a better option. Situational.
