For me, it's matching leather when dressing up. I refuse to wear brown leather shoes w/ a black leather belt... or wristband on my watch. I have a brown set of kit including shoes, belt, and watch. Then a black leather kit.

I used to do that with everything when I was a kid. If something could turn both ways, I'd count how many times I turned it one way and then turn it back the other way that same number of times, even though I knew it didn't matter.
