Have you tried using a mocha pot? Takes awhile to master it and dial it in for whatever coffee you are using. Also need to grind the coffee finer than for a drip maker, so could be a more equipment intensive venture as well.
Never heard of it I will give it a try I’ve found a French press gives me the most consistently decent flavor
I've not used my French press much, but wasn't impressed with the couple attempts I tried. I have a moka pot as backup if my espresso machine shoots craps, and I can get really dark, rich flavors - albeit using finely ground coffee I also use in the espresso machine. I've heard Aeropress can achieve similar results, but have no experience using one.
French press is the way for me. Easy clean up.
The trick is to brew it for exactly 4 minutes, and adjust the amount of grounds as needed.
That said, I'm on a new campaign to kick cigs and coffee is a real trigger, so I've mostly cut it out. When I do need a warm drink to sip now I've beeing using roasted dandelion root tea instead.
