Like iron as in basic metal to fabricate things? Cast iron to cook in? Or iron as in slang for a gun?

Railroad spikes. I'm seeing now that most are made of carbon steel, so there is my problem.

One of these - they wear like... Iron. Sadiron.

If you plan on using it for it's intended purpose, occasionally you can find enamelled ones.
