I just learned that after WW1 turkey was nearly split into several smaller countries with a section of the western fringes returned to greece. Turkey is currently trying to rebuild an even more islamic version of the ottoman empire through its partnership with the muslim brotherhood. They effectively control syria and their proxies have egypt. They want to go through lebabnon and israel to make a continual border and take the best land in ever direction along with holding mecca for legitimacy. So essentially turkish greater israel( in doing all this they would control the shipping through the red sea. They then want the northern sections of the mideast with greenery which means a kurdish genocide from turkey to iran and they,d like all of Russia's islamic territory to boot. After finalizing their islamic empire and unifying it and using their social methods to increase labor among muslims they intend to take from europe all they can. The above has been made clear in numerous books written by influential people in erdogans service. For this we have enough to hate them but in doing this our so called elites are challenged by them and this is why israel was made a strategic partner in the mideast in the first place and their position in our regional policy remains firm. Turkey is number 2 because their ambition has inadvertantly empowered israel.
