What brands should I look into that aren't completely kiked? Mainly for walking, running errands, anytime its too cold for flip flops.

New Balance 990s are made in the US and are very comfortable.

$200 is a tough pill to swallow on shoes that aren't hiking/work boots. Do they at least last a long time?

I'll check them out. I don't really care if buying US made costs extra. Its preferable to me.
