This story follows such a red, a hard living miner who runs a massive claw drill mining helium 3 under the surface of Mars. Until his wife is killed unfortunately of him for singing a forbidden song. As she is ripped away from him she tells him to live for more. After nearly dying and joining a rebel group, the low red is recruited to have his body "carved" and transformed into a gold. Will he be able to infiltrate Gold society? Can one man make a difference? This book is an instant classic for me. It's hard to find a book this good and I haven't seen one in awhile. The story will keep you guessing and it sets the hook deep. Excellent character development Incredible plot and a massive world to enjoy. Tim Gerard Reynolds does an amazing job narrating.
