I don't know if anyone on here knows anything about audio, so if this gets zero replies, I understand.

I have 2 jl audio 13w7's that I am putting in my boat.

I tried to use winisd to figure out a cabnet, but I have an extreme high resolution monitor, so winisd doesn't really work. The best I can do is get the font to be about 2 pt, and I can't read it. This is with 300% scaling and the monitor set to its lowest capable resolution (native 3840x2160).

I need to get max spl around 35hz +/- 5Hz.

Gotta figure out box type, size and port . I'd love to do a folded horn if it would fit.

i can help you out no worries. what is your available space for a box? 4.5 cubic box tuned to 18hz gives you max spl of 125db at 30.52hz i can sim quite a few different boxes but have no knowledge of doing transmission lines. i can help you with 4,6,8th orders though but a properly designed ported will give best response over a larger range.

Thank you I have 3 ft 8 wide, 2 ft 5 inches tall and prefer the depth to be 1 ft 2 inches or less, though I can go more in this dimension. Gross based on that is 10.338 ft³, though I don't know the driver displacement. External port ok.

That box at 1000 watts peak power with 2 ports tuning the box to 18hz gives maximum spl at 25.95 hz

Thank you.. is that 4.5 per 13w7 or for two?

That was nothing subs in a 4.5 cubic foot box with 1000 watts peak power to both at same time. I can do iso-baric setups. Vented, sealed, 4th order, 6th order and 8th order band passes. It seems 8.4545 cubic foot is you box Sox wanted. Tomorrow I will simulate all boxes for you and give results. I'll take pics of transfer magnitude, max power, max spl and cone excursion. Why use such high end subs for a boat if ya don't mind? For the price of one 13w7 you could buy 1 DC audio sub and hit as hard as you looking to hit

Yeah, you'd think so, but it's not. Open air, so no cabin resonance makes it less boomy.

Now why - its a party scene on the river. Everyone has their boats a thumping and the girls dancing etc.

There is one guy who has a killer stereo in an old boat, but he is the party. Loudest thing I have heard.

I have an earthquake dxi /earthquake passive radiator setup in a tube I made on 700 watts which is actually louder than the single 13w7 on 1500 in a ported box I already have (in addition to several pairs of rev 10's) .

It isn't enough.

I need to add the 2 extra 13w7's , and I don't care if it's a fart cannon, in fact may be preferred given the other speakers will fill in the missing music.

I have tried quite a few other speakers, and there is something to be said for lack of cabin gain. I have tried kicker cr, old school solobarics, ds18, old school Pyle drivers, new pyles (of shit), jl m6, etc etc, plus I need to cone to not be paper, it will get wet. Down4sounds has a great reputation no doubt. The DC's are not that much less $$$ and they have a paper cone with kinda messes it up for surviving the environment which is why I went 13w7. I'll have 3 on board + the earthquakes when I'm done.

I cannot help with the cabinet, but you can try these methods to get a bigger font in your app.

https://www.wintips.org/fix-very-small-fonts-in-high-dpi-4%CE%BA-monitors-in-windows-10/

Setting the app dpi scaling instead of the whole system might work better. Or even using a custom scale up to 500%.

I tried all kinds of compatibility settings this am, I think it's hard coded for 800x600, and I just can't quite get there from here on my high res win10 laptop. Thank God to for the assist.
