It's weird how people react when you tell them you have fuck all to give about sports. They simply can't understand it.
Even my family thinks I'm crazy for shunning baseball, the only sport I ever followed. I guess I can understand it to some extent. I was the guy who collected the cards as a kid. I know the trivia, and until I stopped following I knew all the major players and prospects of the teams. I completely cut it off after they moved the All-Star Game out of Georgia over the voter ID law. Fuck them. The worst part was not a single team issued a statement criticizing the MLB for the decision.
It really is strange. I consider it basically the same as celebrity worship.
I don't fucking care who is screwing who or what their life is like. I care about my own god damn life and what I am doing with it as well as my close friends. Other than that, I don't care at all.
I donate to charities, I help animal shelters, I care about kids growing up "right" and not getting transed by psycos that are considered "teachers".
Random "sports ball" is so low on my list of "shit I care about" I don't even have a number to give it.

I did enjoy baseball for reasons I could get into, but when they started using their platform against some of my core beliefs, enough was enough.
"Throw the ball faggot, I don't give a shit what your politics are. You are here to entertain me".
They are clowns to entertain the masses. Nothing more. They thought that people would care what they said. Same thing with actors or actresses. I don't fucking care what you think, you are here to entertain me.
