Listened through this this weekend, and I am seriously impressed. First because the AI voice was so natural and not offputting, and second because Chittum was incredibly prescient about what would take place from 1996 onward. He nailed a TON of items! It was also interesting to see the "1996" perspective on events, and where he overemphasized or underemphasized certain actors and events... it's incredibly difficult, as they say, "for a fish to judge the ocean in which he swims."
Couple of obervations: - No mention of China as a growing adversary via trade interdependence - Named Japan as a significant threat - No mention at all of IQ of the races and how that could alter the balance of power in the face of raw numbers - I may have missed it, but the first 3/4 of the chapters he calls them "global imperialists" but eventually names the jew... I can only guess why - not to be immediately dismissed by readers because of the JQ - I tend to think balkanization will be much more splintered than three meganations
Very fun... good suggestions in Ch. 18 as well.
Thanks again! If "Camp of the Saints" or "Turner Diaries" aren't already appropriately audiobooked, or "Behold a Pale Horse", I would love AI versions of them as well.
Thank you for the detailed review!
The author does not name the Jew at all in the original version. He also refers to Hitler as a psychopath and I can't abide by that. The 'abridged' BCM version remedies this.
The process of making the audiobook sound natural was extremely tedious and I'm not overly motivated to make another one anytime soon. Never say never though.
