George Floyd died in police custody after a corner store clerk reported he had used a fake $20 bill, a nonviolent offense so low-level that police don’t usually take people to jail for it.
Ok, so why did the police show up? They showed up because the clerk also reported he appeared to be under the influence (which he was) and was attempting to drive his car (which he was). DUI is not a low level crime.
