Could it be that they want us in a constant state of fear?

It seems that is the case here and in the end they’ll use it to hide their own corruption and look like the good guys for not implementing it on the masses but we’ll still suffer.

We’ll never know how much “money” they sent somewhere in aid and what comes back as kickbacks.

“From my perspective, there could be some promise for wholesale CBDCs in the future for settlement of certain financial market transactions and processing international payments,” Bowman said.

CBDCs would be a disaster for the illegal drug trade, not sure why anyone involved in it would want CBDCs to be a thing

Of course the drug trade and the dea and local law enforcement etc.

I was talking more along the lines of foreign aid or payments to ngos etc that would be virtually untraceable.

I don't see how it would turn out to be less traceable, it would be the end of the suitcase of cash era for a start...

>Qatargate is an ongoing political scandal, involving allegations that European Parliament officials, lobbyists and their families have been influenced by the governments of Qatar, Morocco and Mauritania, engaging in corruption, money laundering, and organized crime.[1] Law enforcement authorities in Belgium, Italy and Greece seized €1.5 million in cash, confiscated computers and mobile phones, and charged four individuals with the alleged offences.[2][3][4][5]
